I'm happy to say that I'll be going to Dev8D again this year. Dev8D is organized in part by the JISC DevCSI initiative, and is aimed at all developers and IT people in UK higher education. It is free, and an excellent training opportunity.

Unfortunately, I'll only be there on Tuesday - the opening day. I'm looking forward to the HTML5 core skills workshop, and sad to be missing my colleague, Juliette, who is co-organizing the Javascript/ jQuery workshop on Wednesday.

On Tuesday afternoon, there will be an emerging technology workshop on oEmbed - Future-proofed embedding made easy, which I am organizing.

I was not aware of o Embed

I was not aware of o Embed till now but I searched it now and came to know that its a format for allowing an embedded representation of a URL on third party sites.Even i saw on you tube a couple of videos from the event, it seems pretty interesting.
